Parental Musings

What does it say about me as a parent that when I’m browsing the thrift shop bookshelves for something to read, I’m irresistibly attracted to books with titles like “I Refuse to Raise a Brat” and “Parent in Control?”  Or that I consider other people’s mildewy castoff books at the thrift store a good source of parenting insights?

Could be that you love your kids … and want to be the best parent that you can be. Better to be “in control” than “out of touch.”
