Our late, lamented camera was left outside by one of the usual suspects, sitting on a camp chair that collects a puddle whenever it rains. Sure enough, it rained all last night. The camera was found submerged in the puddle today, dead as a doornail. We’re trying to dry it out, but no one holds out much hope that it can be brought back to life. Goodbye to blog photos for me, for now.

R.I.P. But don’t toss it. Leave it somewhere warm and dry for a few weeks or months. Sometimes these cameras self-heal.
